Top Snow Blowers

Toro Power Shovel; $100 to $130
Best for removing light snow from sidewalks or deck. Lightweight, inexpensive, although only works on light snow and uses power cord. Easy to use. Recommended for small areas around the house.

Toro Power Curve 1800; $300 to $330
Best for removing light snow from short, flat driveways. Uses power cord. Lightweight at 24 lbs and includes wheels. Not self-propelled. Works well but delicate

Toro Power Clear 210R; $550 to $600
For moderate snowfalls of less than 8-inches. 2-cycle gas engine (gas-oil mix). Weighs 73 lbs which makes the 210R a lightweight gas snow blower. Self-Propelled. Doesn't include a push-button electric starter.

Craftsman 88957; $500 to $600
For moderate snowfalls. Self-propelled, however no power steering. 8 speeds ... 6 forward, 2 reverse.

Toro-Bilt Storm 3090XP; $1,100 to $1,700
For moderate snowfalls on a long or sloping driveway. 4-cycle gas 357cc
engine. Includes power steering with six speeds. Weighs 370 lbs. Extras include heated handgrips, joystick chute adjustment, headlight and electric push-button starter. On the other hand the 3090 XP is bulky, heavy and probably has more power than needed. "I bought this snowblower in 2008 for $1099 and it is fantastic. It is built with lots of steel and is not at all flimsy - very rugged Starts first pull in the coldest weather."

Other snow blowers include: Honda single and 2-stage snowblowers, Snow Joe, Husqvarna, Poulan Pro 2-stage snowblowers, Ariens deluxe snowthrowers, and John Deere snow blowers.
